PULAI SPRINGS RESORT PRESENTS WEDDING EXTRAVAGANZA 2007

Johor Bahru, 17 July 2007 – It was a wedding of your dreams at Pulai Springs Resort. During the weekend, a substantial crowd visited this much-awaited event. Over 30 exhibitors participated in the WEDDING EXTRAVAGANZA 2007 held at the Resort last week. This inaugural event hosted by the Resort witnessed a spectacular line-up of wedding experts and specialists from Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur. These included reputable bridal houses (Malay, Chinese & Indian), hairstylists, make-up artists, photographers, florists, wedding planners and more, showcasing their products and services. Kose Cosmetics (Japan) and Crabtree & Evelyn (London) were also on hand to provide useful advises and tips to create that perfect wedding.

The Pulai Gallery had a display of photos of the Resort’s facilities, rooms, wedding set-ups and also The Pulai Desaru Beach. All guests who registered at the event had received a RM10 cash voucher redeemable at Qing Palace or Gleneagles Terrace on that same day. The new Bridal Shop, a well decorated and stylish room, is a showcase of the Resort’s wedding set-up and a discussion area for couples interested in the wedding packages.

The event was graced by some renowned specialists in the wedding industry. This included famous wedding gown designer Melvin Lam, celebrity photographer Kid Chan and popular wedding planner, Stephen Foong. They had displayed their portfolio and collection that attracted couples and guests to their booth. They seized this opportunity to obtain professional tips and information from these specialists.

Every corner of the Resort was filled with interesting displays and activities to ensure a rewarding experience for all visitors. A runway or catwalk was built on the pool for an exclusive bridal fashion show. The participating bridal houses had exhibited their latest collection of wedding and evening gowns. Apart from this, the floral arrangement & display, hairstyling show and makeover session were held on the runway too much to the cheers of the crowd.

Master Chefs from Pulai Springs Resort and Novotel Hydro Majestic Penang had put their best skills forward in ice, fruit and vegetables carving demonstrations. Guests were very interested and excited to see the Master Chefs carve the materials given in such a short time and with beautiful results. Guests also visited The Pulai Spa booth where our trained professionals provided some guidelines on using aromatherapy oils, methods to relax and a quick free massage.

Guided house tours for the show units at CintaAyu All Suites were conducted for interested home owners and investors. The response was favourable and there were some enquires.

The highlight of the weekend was The Best Booth Award as all exhibitors vied for the most stylish and best decorated booth. The exhibitors had put much effort in decorating their booth. The winner was Venus Bridal Shop who walked away with RM5,000 cash. Guests who bought any package from the bridal houses during the weekend were entitled to participate in the Grand Draw to win cash prizes, hotel stays and meal vouchers. The 1st prize winner was Ms Chan Lai Yen (Joho Bahru) who walked away with RM3,000. 2nd Prize winner was Ms Teck Yee & Mr Peng (Johor Bahru) with cash RM2,000 and Beatrice Goh (Singapore) was the 3rd prize winner with RM1,000 cash.

Couples who registered their interest with us during the WEDDING EXTRAVAGANZA 2007 and subsequently make a wedding banquet booking from 14 July to 15 October 2007, will stand a chance to win fabulous gifts worth over RM10,000 for your wedding. Visitors at WEDDING EXTRAVAGANZA 2007 also had the opportunity to view our stylish and flexible wedding banquet venues. One of it was the grand wedding set-up with plentiful of fresh flowers at Dewan Kencanapuri, a fully air-conditioned tentage with comprehensive banquet facilities overlooking the golf course. The Resort also built an open-air marquee wedding set-up

on the putting green for guests’ viewing and serves an additional option for a private function outdoors. To complement these set-ups, vintage and prestige cars were also on display.

Other happenings around the Resort included a Chinese Drum Performance. The nail art service and henna drawings were the most frequently visited booth for ladies who wanted to pamper themselves. Mingling with the crowd, was a clown to entertain the crowd by making balloons into different shapes and giving to the kids and adults. Wine lovers were able to savor samples of tasty wine and wedding cakes. In addition, free bridal magazines were distributed to everyone too.

The Resort had invited a band to lighten up atmosphere whilst providing ideas for brides and groom-to-be for entertainment. There were musicians playing violin serenading in the crowd from time to time. The Grand Finale of this inaugural event ended with a much-waited and breathtaking fireworks display.
